The location of the hostel is absolutely stunning, with a beautiful view of the fjord and mountains. the rooms are spacious and well-equipped, with a large table, huge wardrobe, and ample storage facilities. the breakfast provided is copious and varied, offering good options for vegetarians. the staff is friendly and helpful, with one receptionist even going above and beyond to provide a printed map for a hiking trail.
Some previous guests were inconsiderate and took kitchen utensils, leading to a lack of utensils for other guests to use.

I recently stayed at Hardanger Hostel B&B for a few nights while exploring the Trolltunga Trail. The hotel served as a great base for my adventures, with its convenient location just a 30-minute drive away. One of the best things about this place is the included buffet breakfast, which was a great way to start my day without breaking the bank. Unlike other hostels, Hardanger Hostel B&B didn't surprise me with any extra fees upon arrival - everything, from parking to breakfast, was already included in the price. The staff was incredibly friendly and even provided me with a packed lunch for my hike, for a small additional fee. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and I especially enjoyed the free use of the sauna and jacuzzi. my stay at Hardanger Hostel B&B was pleasant and hassle-free, thanks to its affordable rates, great amenities, and helpful staff.
I strongly recommend this hotel.

I had an amazing view to the fjord and mountains, got to hike the incredible HM Queen Sonja Panoramic Trail, and even enjoyed a sauna. The buffet breakfast was a great start to the day.
The cultural highlights were such a drag, who wants to learn about history and industry when surrounded by such beautiful landscapes? Ugh!

Friendly staff and stunning nature. The location offers a beautiful view of the surrounding nature, including the Hardanger Fjord. The staff was welcoming and accommodating, even when we arrived late. the hostel provides a packed lunch service for hikers, which was extremely convenient for our trip to Trolltunga.
Keep in mind that this is a hostel, not a hotel, and the comfort level may not match that of a luxury hotel. The check-in closes at 10 p.m., which can be limiting for some travelers.

Great location for exploring the area, with beautiful views of the fjord. the breakfast was tasty and had a good variety of options. Free parking was a convenient perk for those traveling by car.
The room was in need of a renovation, with outdated furnishings and a lack of cleanliness. the common shower was not well-maintained, which was disappointing.

The location of this hostel is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the fjord and mountains. the surrounding meadow adds to the charm of the place. the shared facilities were of high standards, with clean showers and toilets. the shared kitchen was well-equipped and the breakfast provided was varied and plentiful.
The lack of tables with chairs to eat dinner inside, especially when it was raining outside. the common living/dining room area was also a bit cramped, making it difficult for everyone to eat at the same time.

Amazing room layout with two bunk beds and study desks, beautiful fjord views, helpful and friendly staff, nice breakfast, clean and equipped with sink in the room, went above and beyond by allowing late check-in and sending forgotten jacket back home.
